Solid Waste Department Superintendent
The Town of Ashby is seeking applicants for a part-time Solid Waste Department Superintendent. This individual manages the Solid Waste facility in accordance with the state regulations and supervises the operations and staff of the Town’s Recycling Center and Transfer Station. Qualifications include ability to supervise personnel and to interact with town officials and regulatory personnel. Physical requirements include ability to lift waste items that may weigh over 75 pounds. Required Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience with Transfer Station and/or Recycling Center preferred. Possess or obtain working knowledge of federal and state statutes and regulations pertaining to the operations of solid waste and/or recycling programs.
Job is approximately 5 hours per Saturday, second & fourth Saturday each month. Starting immediately. Hourly wage is $20.27/hr.
